Hello, and welcome to the Randy Scholl Stamp Company. We are full-time stamp dealers with a stamp tradition going back to the 1940s. Father Warren Scholl came to the Midwest from New York City after World War II via stamp purchases in Cleveland and Sidney, OH. He made his way to Cincinnati in the late 1940s, bought the Queen City Stamp Company at 6th and Race in downtown Cincinnati, and decided to stay. Warren traveled the country far and wide by car buying large stamp collections in a pre-interstate highway era when traveling was not so easy. Some collections were so large he had to ship them back by REA (Railway Express Agency).

Warren was a colleague of and did business with many of the well-known stamp dealers and collectors of his time, including Bill Betts, the Rasdales, Ralph Orton, Pat Herst, Lyle Clark, the Weil Brothers, Ralph Hoffman and Robert Siegel, just to name a few. Warren did mail order price lists and was always a huge mail order dealer, long before home shopping became popular by TV and the internet. Stamp customers have long known that buying stamps by mail is convenient.

By the early 1970s, Warren wanted to retire, so sons Greg and Randy bought the business and moved things into the modern era with more price lists, air travel, credit cards, new offices and a heavy stamp show schedule. This period saw unprecedented price rises in stamps and, of course, the necessary downward adjustments afterwards.

Greg and Randy split the stamp partnership in the early 1980s, with Greg turning his avocation of railway photography into his vocation. The Randy Scholl Stamp Company has been going strong ever since with price lists, mail order, stamp shows, internet sales and our office. For about ten years, our office was in downtown Cincinnati and at one time we were doing 20 stamp shows a year. Randy has continued to grow the business, dealing in large lots, estates and collections and lots.

The company has more recently been located in the Cincinnati suburbs, on the eastern side of the city, since 1992. We are in Anderson Township, just inside the beltway. Our office and shop is located at 7460 Jager Court in the Southampton Square Professional Office Park, just off I-275 and Five Mile Road, with plenty of free parking in a safe and clean environment. We are primarily a mail order operation for selling, but welcome customers by appointment if we have material they need. We also believe in a physical footprint for our sellers, who can be confident in dealing with us in a brick-and-mortar environment. We maintain a comfortable office where sellers can bring their stamps to sell.
